MISSION AND LEADERSHIP

Youth Achievers USA Institute (YOUTHUSA) builds capacity around youth ages 7-24, empowering them to believe and achieve their Spiritual, Physical, Social, Financial, Educational, Professional, and Recreational Goals. Our faith-based delinquency prevention (I21) strategy increases the peace through local community improvement (S99), regional capacity building (S99) and holistic youth development (O50) programs.

Chief Executive Profile

Stephanie A. Walker Stradford, co-author of TheEnterpriZe from Slaveship to Spaceship, launched her career with National Broadcasting Company (NBC) in Washington, D.C. As a technical engineer for WRC-TV, WRC-AM and WKYS-FM radio, she was frequently assigned to The White House and Capitol Hill. During her tenure, Mrs. Stradford worked with the Today Show, Meet the Press, and Nightly News. As a seasoned event planner and past president of The Black Public Relations Society of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Stradford has applied proven communications practices to challenges for underserved constituencies. She embraces the African proverb, "It takes a whole village to raise a child" and adds that whole villages must include whole people. Spiritual, physical, social, financial, educational, professional, and recreational development makes and sustains a difference in the lives of future generations. According to Mrs. Stradford, holistic development impacts economic development, human resources, community capacity building and the quality of America’s workforce.
